Today marks the fifth anniversary with our Labrador, Daisy. It seems like only yesterday we adopted her from Great Lakes Lab Rescue. In addition to being One Terrific Dog, Daisy was (and is) the inspiration for PupLife.com!

As a rescue dog with many health and behavioral issues, Daisy’s arrival in our lives challeged us to rethink our understanding of dogs and our relationship with them. Not only did we need to find a way to restore Daisy’s health through optimal nutrition, we needed to find positive and gentle training methods that would help rehabilitate her after years of neglect and abuse. The idea for PupLife.com came directly out of that new way thinking.

It’s amazing to think that one little pooch was the catalyst (*ahem* dog-a-lyst?) behind a such a monumental shift in our lives. As we grow both personally and professionally, we pledge to honor our committment to Daisy along with our commitment to PupLife.com. We will continue to seek out the newest, healthiest, safest and of course, most fun trends in the doggy world and share them with our dogs and our friends (both two and four-legged)!

Happy Anniversary, Daisy. We love you with all of our hearts! Here’s to another five terrific years!
